Notice of Workshop Session of 
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas 
for APRIL 11, 2005

Notice is hereby given that a Workshop Session of the Commissioners Court will be held immediately after the regular Commissioners Court Meeting in the Commissioners Court Conference Room, County Courthouse, 2nd Floor, Belton, Texas, where the following items will be discussed, but no action will be taken.

  1. District Court/Sheriff's office/Jail planning, architect conferences, Texas Commission on Jail Standards reviews & updates, financing timetable and alternatives.

  2. Architect planning & Construction Manager at Risk planning/updates; Subcontractor review/approval.

  3. Bell County Jail Population Management Meeting summary. 

  4. Draft of Invitation to Bid for purchase of Medical Services for the Correctional Facility. 

  5. City of Belton, TxDOT, architect and construction manager discussions on site development, platting/zoning, entrances, and construction/design issues.

  6. City of Belton road closing, parking, and access easement issues of development of coop gin site.

  7. City of Belton USDA grant for construction of sewer line under Loop 121 near EXPO.

  8. Update and presentation on real estate in Temple for potential purchase and use for abused families and similar needs.

  9. Review and discussion of General Contractor bids for the three buildings comprising the Killeen Annex. 

  10. Meeting of Central Texas Deployment Task Force and support for May 13th celebration. 

  11. Memorandum of Understanding for Pilot Interoperable Communications Program Among McLennan, Bell and Coryell Counties and Associated Agencies.

  12. Legislation to create 5th District Court. 

  13. Legislation in support of Texas A & M - Central Texas. 

  14. Retirement of Director of Personal Bonds and update on personnel.

  15. Consideration of part-time employment for person to act as Killeen-Belton courier. 

  16. Retirement of Director of Juvenile Probation and update on Right Turn Management.

  17. HIPAA Security Rule deadline status for compliance. 

  18. Centro Vision proposal regarding rural cities tie in to City of Temple and then to Communications Center.

Texas A & M University - Central Texas Task Force meeting beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 in Austin at Austin Club, 110 E. 9th, at 8:45 a.m. at Senate Press Room 2E.9, and at 9:30 a.m. at various Capital locations in Austin, initially starting at the Capitol Grill Cafeteria.    

  3. President Bush's speech and meeting at Fort Hood estimated to start at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at Athletic Field at Fort Hood.    

  4. BellNET meeting and planning at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 in Commissioners Conference Room.
