Workshop Session of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas
for October 30, 2006
Notice is hereby given that a
Workshop Session of the Commissioners Court and the Board of
the Bell County Health Facilities Development Corporation will be held immediately after the regular Commissioners Court Meeting,
or at 9:00 a.m. if there is no meeting, in the Commissioners
Court Conference Room, County Courthouse, 2nd Floor, Belton, Texas, where the following items will be discussed, but no action will be taken.
District
Court/Sheriff's office/Jail planning, architect conferences, Texas
Commission on Jail Standards reviews & updates, financing timetable and
alternatives; coordination with TxDOT on signage; liquidated damages
calculations and amounts.
Architect planning
& Construction Manager at Risk planning/updates; Subcontractor
review/approval; wage-rate issues; card-access locations; guaranteed maximum
price calculations/approval.

Jail population status, population
management, jail leasing alternatives/costs, financing considerations, and state prison overcrowding
notification, and JP coverage.

District Courts Building security access
procedures and policy proposal.

FY 2007 budget.

Law Library contracts with West/Thompson

Status of completion of
modification/compliance requirements under Architectural Barriers Act for

- Meeting to finalize access procedures for Bell County Justice Center at
10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 in Commissioners Conference Room.
- Meeting with EXPO staff to review policies and procedures regarding pricing
for security services for events and staffing levels at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday,
November 1, 2006 in Commissioners Conference Room.
- Promotion Ceremony and Retreat at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2006
at III Corps Headquarters at Fort Hood in Killeen.
- Bell County Health District Pandemic Exercise from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
on Thursday, November 2, 2006, and from 8:00 a.m. until noon on Friday, November
2, 2006 at Mabee Student Center's Shelton Auditorium at UMHB Campus in Belton.
- Metroplex Hospital Gala at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the
Killeen Civic and Conference Center in Killeen.
- Texas Secretary of State Mock Election Tour presentation at 9:00 a.m. at
Rogers Middle School, at 9:35 a.m. at Rogers High School, and at 11:00 a.m. at
Killeen High School on Friday, November 3, 2006.
