Notice of Workshop Session of 
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas 
for December 17, 2007

Notice is hereby given that a Workshop Session of the Commissioners Court will be held immediately after the regular Commissioners Court Meeting, or at 9:00 a.m. if there is no meeting, in the Commissioners Court Conference Room, County Courthouse, 2nd Floor, Belton, Texas, where the following items will be discussed, but no action will be taken.

1. Bell County Jail Status Updates.

1. Jail population status and population management.
2. Jail Addition Construction Update.
    

2. Project Management priorities and projects.

1. Jail healthcare review and data gathering for Phase 2 Consulting. 
2. Strategic Capital Improvement Planning scheduling and procedures. 
3. Information gathering and needs assessment.
    

3. Drug Court requirements.

1. Meeting with Governor's office.  
2. Draft Plan.
3. Planning meeting with Judges and Prosecutors. 
    

4. Engineering Office and Road & Bridge Department Updates

1. Subdivision and Precinct Issues.  
2. TxDOT information on construction schedules and funding.
3. K-TUTS policy meeting. 
4. Storm water drainage plan review - Continued at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 in Commissioners Conference Room. 
    

5. BellNET meeting review and update.

1. Consultants review of inventory and assess equipment and usage.

3. 2008 water conference proposal.

1. Time Warner placement of cable/fiber infrastructure on County poles.

1. FY 2007 audit and budget amendments.

3. Investments and financial review and update.
4. Tax abatement policy update. 
    

8. Personnel and Human Resources Updates.

1. NACo prescription drug plan.   
2. Updates to Personnel Policy Manual.
3. PHI Air Medical Services contract for approval.
4. Carpenter grant to Hillcrest.
    

9. EXPO Center modifications/renovations update, management agreement, and hotel/motel occupancy tax review.

10. Building and Grounds Updates.

    Bell County Commissioners Court reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session whenever permitted by the Texas Open Meetings Act.

2. Skanska Construction update on jail addition at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2007 at the construction site on Loop 121 in Belton.             
    
3. Storm water drainage plan review and discussions at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 in Commissioners Conference Room.     
    
4. K-TUTS policy board meeting at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at the Central Texas Council of Governments Building on North Main in Belton.      
    
5. Central Texas Republican Women Christmas Dinner at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Wildflower Country Club in Temple.
    
6. County Christmas luncheon from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2007 on the second floor of the Historic Courthouse in Belton.
